I learned from each person I spoke with and I truly look forward to hearing from each of them on how they ‘blazed their trails’.

The controls to go forward are in our hands. Recently I published a book that took me two years to write. One of the reasons it took two years was I struggled over believing I had what it took to write a book and I questioned whether anyone would be interested in what I had to say. I am including an internet site where you will see a recent flyer about my book… the flyer was not put out by me but by OHCA… one of Ohio’s largest Health Care Associations:
http://www.tobinsearch.com/Delegate_or_Suffocate.html

OHCA read my book and thought it was a great book on leadership and management. They are now promoting my book. All this for the woman who doubted anyone would want to read what she had to share.

Fear follows you where ever you go and it will keep you from accomplishing many of your dreams if you let it have the controls.

If you need some guidance on how to approach leadership and become a great leader, read my book. The reviews have been ’5 star’. I am glad I chose to trust God and go for it.

Excerpt… at the end of each chapter I put a short summary of lessons learned from that chapter.. this is from chapter 9:

1. Let go and delegate or you will suffocate under the pressure of trying to do everything yourself.
2. Nothing happens over night.
3. Remember you are a leader not an enabler.
4. Know your vision, remember ‘why’ you are doing what you are doing, invest in others, communicate clearly and often and you will make it…
5. If you never let go of the steering wheel, you will never get to experience sitting in the passenger’s seat and enjoy the scenery.
6. Staff will rise to the level demonstrated by your belief in them.
7. Give staff the tools along with a road map, and they will get where they are supposed to be…
8. Others may smirk at you and say negative things about you, but it is up to you to accept their opinion of you or let it roll off your back. Your positive outcomes will speak for themselves.
9. Enjoy life, like yourself and ‘par..tay’!
